Currently Reading:

Grace (Eventually)
By Anne Lamott

The Reading and Conversation Hour
of Chelsea Community Church is now
reading, "Grace (Eventually)," by the writer Anne Lamott, author of several books on the theme of spiritual journeys, including "Traveling Mercies: Thoughts on Faith" and "Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith."

Of Lamott's writing, Newsweek states, "Anne Lamott writes about subjects that begin with capital letters (Alcoholism, Motherhood, Jesus). But armed with self-effacing humor and ruthless honesty--call it a lower-case approach to life's Big Questions--she converts potential op-ed boilerplates into enchantment."

The Reading and Conversation Hour meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the Rectory Chapel, and is open to all. If you would like to purchase a copy of the book, or would like more information, please email Rev. John Magisano at jmagi@aol.com. There are also a number copies in stock at various branches of the NY Public Library.
