Sam Shull follows Jeff Cubeta as CCC Music Director

Chelsea Community Church is pleased to welcome Sam Shull as our new music director. He begins just in time to help us meet the challenge of working with the congregation while wet meet via Zoom.

Sam is also active in the music ministry at the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan as a pianist and organist. Previously he was director of music/organist at the Church of the Holy Apostles in Brooklyn and interim organist/pianist at the New Dorp Moravian Church in Staten Island. He has also been the accompanist for the Empire City Men’s Chorus and Choral Chameleon as well as the New York City Department of Education All-City Chorus. He has also served as a teaching artist/accompanist for the Young People’s Chorus of New York City, Carnegie Hall Weill Music Institute and Harlem School of the Arts. He is a graduate of Carleton College and of Berklee College of Music.

His full-time occupation is as a software engineer at Sailthru in Manhattan, a position he has held since 2016.

We thank our departing music director, Jeff Cubeta, and wish him all the best in his next musical adventures and on his life’s path.
